Project #3

There are two of these beautiful chairs that were reshaped and recovered. These are the pictures as they came into the shop. The request was to remove the buttons and tufting, then upholster in a leather. This will create a more masculine look.

Because the button tufting was being removed the chairs had to be stripped down to the frames. The springs

were sitting low so this was the perfect time to re-tie the springs and give the seats some extra height.

When the stuffing was removed it all fell apart into a pile. Wanting to change the shape of the chair the stuffing was teased and cleaned.

This was done to prevent lumps when using it again in the backs of the chairs and makes it much easier to get the desired shape.

Stuffing pulled out to be cleaned.
Reinstalling stuffing, teased and reshaped.
Stuffing all placed.
Citizen Cane Interiors finished chairs

All finished!! A lot of work but they make quite the statement.
